fusionZone Automotive is one of the leaders in online marketing for car dealerships nationwide. With over 500+ clients and web properties to manage, I was able to not only improve the efficiency workflow by communication, but also able to bring unity within the company between the marketing department, client services, development and leadership teams.
My Role:
- Serve as the front-facing representative of the company for UI and UX –
Communicate directly with clients do determine the best plan of action to balance their needs and wants to their website with usability and aesthetic flow for maximum impact - Design and build at scale –
Create wireframes and fidelity prototypes in Photoshop, Sketch and inVision then use CSS and HTML to code out the designs in fully scalable responsive landing pages and front pages that resize along every viewport seamlessly - Innovative design solutions –
Collaborate with development team to ideate web solutions to problems unique to each client - Raising the bar for web product by educating other departments –
Mentor cross-team members and lead design feedback sessions for both usability and performance
Service Center Hub Page
One of our largest clients at the time (DCH Toyota Simi Valley) knew they wanted a better solution for their service center rather than the wildly accepted sub-bar and disjointed pages within the industry. I worked with the internal Toyota marketing and development team to propose a solution that balanced the client’s ask along with best practices within our proprietary CMS, to integrating existing widgets and OEM required elements into a “Service Page Hub” all in one place. The solution was able to consolidate information for the service center that was previously scattered in various pages (scheduling different types of service, staff, and informational data) into one easy access location. After the implementation and capturing data and feedback, we were then able to scale this solution out to our other Toyota dealers.
Pixel-perfect, responsive landing pages
I designed hundreds of landing pages for different brands, makes and models of vehicles to promote newly release vehicles based on OEM brand guidelines. Upon compliance approval I personally coded the HTML and CSS to provide a pixel-perfect master template, reusable within the system.
Compliance
Designs for brands such as Toyota, Honda and Nissan required legal compliance approval due to our partnership with the OEMs. Certain pages such as service pages had specifically required sections.
